This fifth issue of TECNOURE is aimed to create
the known framework for exchanging knowledge and
experiences in a businesslike climate not only on
the field of the RATIONAL USE OF ENERGY (RUE) but
on RENEWABLE ENERGY as well. The Conference will
be attended by technicians and executives related
to energy efficiency and renewable energy
management of the principal national and
international companies, project companies,
representative energy service companies,
scientific academic sectors and executives of
relevant ministries.   The evolution of the
economy and the environmental concern in the
current world have enhanced the recognition of
the RATIONAL USE OF ENERGY and SUSTAINABILITY
ENERGY POLICIES, as those pillars for a
sustainable development of humanity.   For this
reason the development of equipment and
technologies for reducing energy consumption and
greenhouse gas emissions, in practically all
sectors of production and services, has turned to
be technical areas in which greater advances have
been achieved in the last years.   The
achievement of RUE as well as an EFICIENT USE OF
RENEWABLE ENERGY is a complex problem, in which
not only technological but also organizational,
technical, economical, social and financial
aspects intervene. These factors are framed in a
specific energy policy, whose solution depends
on conditions of the economic and technological
development of each country.   Finally it should
be noted that our conference will take place
right after the Havana International Fair which
means an opportunity to join us for making
business on the energy efficiency and renewable
energy fields and exhibit your products with a

TECNOURE 2002   PAPER PRESENTATION Specialists,
scientific institutions, universities and
companies interested in presenting papers in any
of the modalities mentioned above and in
exhibiting their products must follow the
following procedures             The papers
will be accepted for oral, poster and video
presentations.             The deadline for
submission of the papers in electronic format to
be included in the abstracts of the conference is
October 27th .             If it is needed, you
can use Winzip.           The abstract should be
initiated in the following manner Title,
Authors, Institution, Postal Address, Country,
Telephones, Fax, and E-mail, Name of the event,
Subject Conference to participate.            
The posters should have a format of 1 m of width
and 1,5m of height.             Official
