- Student Volunteers

21STUDENT VOLUNTEERS
- This program is a 2 hour block
- Seniors will serve as volunteer aides in local
organizations such as schools, businesses, and
government. - You will meet as a class each Monday.
- Seniors must provide their own transportation.
- Application must be picked up from the student
volunteer coordinator.
22CAREER PATHWAYS
- This programs allows seniors the opportunity to
explore specific career paths by working off
campus. - Career Pathways is a 2 hour block.
- Seniors will meet one day a week for the
classroom component. - If interested, see Career Pathways coordinator.
23EARLY GRADUATION
- This option allows some seniors to finish their
high school coursework at the end of first
semester. - The diplomas will be distributed in May following
graduation. - You have to be on track to graduate and not
behind in credit. - You will enroll in a 2 hour English class.
- Space is limited, so see your counselor for an
application if interested. - You will enroll in a full course schedule during
the January/February enrollment.
24ENROLLMENT TIMELINE
- Students are receiving the following enrollment
materials - USD 233 Program Planning Guide
- Enrollment worksheet with available classes
- Audit indicating courses completed in each
graduation category - Sophomores and Juniors will enroll at school
within the next 2 weeks. - Please review your course selections with parents
before your scheduled enrollment day at school. - Sophomores and Juniors will have time to talk
with their teachers about enrollment questions.
Counselors will also be available for questions
you may have.
25Pre-selected course work
- Teachers in certain academic subjects will
discuss and recommend next years courses. (for
example math)
26REMINDER
- It is USD 233 School Board Policy for all
students to enroll in a full 7 hour school day. - You must enroll in 7 credits and 3 alternative
courses.
