Sounder

• Sounder would be a great dog to have because, he
  will try to save you if you are in trouble.
  Sounder tried to save the Dad when he was going
  to jail. But Sounder got shot by the sheriff.

The Boy

• The Boy does not have a name. He is always
  getting hurt.But the Boy and his family is black,
  and white people treat them not very fair.

Mom and Dad

• Mom and the Dad are very poor and the Mom cracks
  walnuts because they are worth 25 cents a pound.
  She makes the kids find walnuts for her to
  crack.Dad stole for food.

My favorite part

• My favorite part of the book Sounder is, when
  Sounder comes home. Because he ran off when he
  got shot, but he lived. Sounder lost an eye an
  ear and is crippled.

The part that I did not like

• I did not like it when Sounder got shot, because
  the men were mean and hated anything that
  belonged to the boy. Sounder did not even do
  anything wrong.

Cabin

• The cabin is where most of the the events happen.
  It is very small and cold, it takes a long time
  to heat. They heat it by fire in the fireplace.
  The sheriff comes to the cabin to take the Dad to
  jail.

Jail house

• The jail house is where the dad goes to jail and
  the boy comes to see his dad. But no girls or
  moms are allowed to go into the jail house. That
  is a very silly rule.

The market

• The market is where the mom goes to buy food, she
  trades in walnuts for money to buy the food. The
  family has to do the store keepers garden because
  they owe the store keeper money. They owe him
  money because they dont have enough money to pay
  for it right away

School

• The school is where the boy goes. He is the only
  black boy, and there are two other black girls,
  and the rest of the students are white. His
  parents dont want him to go to school.

School two

• When the boy runs away to go and find his dad, a
  guy hits the boy on the hand with a steel bar.
  So the boy goes to this school and asks if he
  can wash his hand and all the blood off his hand.
  The boy stays at the teachers house. The
  teacher wants the boy to come back.
