Preventative Adaptations Scheme (PAS)
  • aimed directly at people over 60 (tenants and
    owner-occupiers)
  • allows people to request minor adaptations (such
    as grab rails, stair rails, hand rails and
    half-steps) for a small fee of 15.00
  • helps people feel safe in their own homes by
    providing low cost adaptations without a formal
    assessment
  • minor adaptations in the home can often help to
    reduce the risk of falling, improve
    self-confidence, make individuals feel safer, and
    give peace of mind to families and friends.

Home from Hospital Visiting (WRVS)
  • Supports and assists clients who are newly
    discharged from hospital to continue their daily
    life as independently as possible
  • A supportive, confidential and free service
    provided for a 4-6 week period with trained
    volunteers.
  • Provide help to clients who are going through a
    period of readjustment
  • Supports in the prevention of readmission to
    hospital
  • Provides a flexible and personalised service
    identifying a clients needs and requirements
