Sectors Since the Last Pixel Week

• Qualification of work-hardened 3003 tubes
  completed.
• About 65 of tubes bent, hardened ready for laser
  welding of fittings.
• Laser welding of fittings done for 20 tubes,
  yield is 95 per weld or 90 for tubes.
• Production assembly just starting.
• Too soon to reliably predict schedule, but well
  ahead of need for modules.

• All vendor fabrication is complete see pictures
  next pages for reference.
• Decided to improve pinning scheme of endcones to
  barrel and of end sections to barrel to improve
  reproducibility of assembly. Design in progress.

• Survey by CMM of barrel with endcones
• Drilling disk sections for ring insertion
