Emittance Measurement SYstemEMSY
  • Based upon slit technique (pepper pot)
  • Tungsten slit, width of 10 mm
  • OTR and YAG screens installed
  • Newport motors and motion controller
  • YAG screen used for beamlet observation
  • remote zoom optics tested

PITZ and EMSY
  • Three new EMSYs are produced by HITECH HEP Group
    in INRNE Sofia
  • Construction and successful vacuum and mechanical
    test done end of May
  • June installed in the tunnel in positions 4.3,
    6.6 and 9.8 m
  • Only the first system aligned
  • All installed components are working properly
