The MISSION of the Club
  • The Mission of a Toastmasters Club is to provide
    a mutually supportive and positive learning
    environment in which every member has the
    opportunity to develop and practice communication
    and leadership skills, which in turn foster
    self-confidence and personal growth.

Club Officer Roles Responsibilities
  • Club success depends upon having Club officers
    who fulfill their responsibilities as leaders.
  • When Club officers are well trained performing
    their duties, members reap the benefits of a
    healthy Club environment.
  • Detailed descriptions of Club officer roles
    responsibilities can be found in the Club Officer
    Manuals (Catalog Nos. 1310A-1310G).
  • Following is a brief description of each Club
    officer position.

President
  • Serves as Clubs Chief Executive Officer,
    responsible for general supervision operation
    of the Club.
  • Presides at Club meetings.
  • Directs Club in way which meets educational
    growth Leadership needs of members.
  • In cooperation with Executive team, establishes
    long-term short-term plans for Club growth.

Immediate Past President
  • Chairs the Nominating Committee.
  • Helps with the Distinguished Club Program.
  • Promotes the clubs efforts to become a
    Distinguished Club.
  • Provides guidance serves as a resource to club
    officers members.

V.P. Education
  • Plans dynamic club meetings.
  • Promotes the Toastmasters educational program to
    Club members.
  • Orients new members to the Toastmasters program
    to the Club.
  • Ensures all members understand the importance of
    excellent evaluations know how to evaluate.
  • Arranges Speech craft other Success or
    Leadership Programs to be conducted inside
    outside the Club.
  • Arranges for the Club to conduct Youth Leadership
    Programs.

    marketing effort which ensures that the Club
    maintains or exceeds a charter membership level
    of 20 members.

    Toastmasters to promote Club membership
    membership retention.
  • Maintains accurate membership roster attendance
    records.
  • Prepares the Semi-annual Membership Report.
  • Chairs the Membership Committee.
  • Attends participates in Executive Committee
    meetings.

V.P. Public Relations
  • Develops, implements administers a public
    relations program that maintains a positive image
    of Toastmasters.
  • Responsible for internal external public
    relations for the Club such as preparing
    distributing news releases regarding Club
    activities events representing Club with the
    media.
  • Produces a Club newsletter.
  • Chairs the Public Relations Committee.
  • Attends participates in Executive Committee
    meetings.

Secretary
  • Maintains an accurate membership roster.
  • Records reads meeting minutes.
  • Assists with Semi-annual Membership Report.
  • Reports new Officers to World Headquarters.
  • Prepares mails orders for Toastmaster supplies.
  • Keeps the Club Constitution Bylaws.
  • Maintains general Club correspondence.
  • Attends participates in Executive Committee
    meetings.

Treasurer
  • Prepares an annual budget for the Club.
  • Provides the bank with a new signature card.
  • Notifies each club member in writing of dues
    payable.
  • Collects payable dues.
  • Issues checks to World Headquarters for
    semi-annual membership dues/new member fees.

    financial transactions.
