Submission Due Dates
  • All DCV data will end with the regular school
    year.
  • Regional centers must submit their data to the
    Virginia Department of Education (VDOE) by June
    30, 2008.
  • School divisions must submit all data to VDOE by
    July 31, 2008.
  • The 2006-2007 summer school data will be reported
    on the 2007-2008 school year DCV report.

New Offense Codes 2007-2008
Definition Intentionally making a false report of
potential harm . The act that intentionally
disrupts the orderly conduct of a
school. Repeatedly annoying or attacking a
student or a group of students or other personnel
which creates an intimidating or hostile
educational or work environment. Improper
physical contact against a staff that is
offensive, undesirable and/or unwanted as
determined by the victim.

Definition Improper physical contact against a
student that is offensive, undesirable, and/or
unwanted as determined by the victim. Possession
of any type of ammunition.

Offense Codes That Have Been Deleted

Definition The offense code has been deleted as a
single required code. It has become a code
required only if suspension or expulsion is the
sanction. Mutual participation in a fight
involving physical violence where there is
serious injury requiring medical attention. This
has become a battery (BA4).

  • There are no new regulations for Special
    Education DCV data.
  • A Reminder that In-school Suspension is being
    collected as stated in SUPTs MEMO NO. 52,
    December, 21, 2006.
  • Page 7 of the Comprehensive User Guide redefines
    special education sanctions.

    access to DCV data
  • The Web site is better known as the Safe Schools
    Information Resource (SSIR)
  • The Web Site provides the following

  • Series III contains scenarios that may be used as
    a workbook. There is no narration with Series
    III.
