Employee Credentialing Roll Out Update

• Recent Activities
• Employee Registration screens, Agency
  Registration Leads informational web pages, and
  data feeds went live on June 30th.
• eAuthentication was successfully integrated with
  Aglearn on June 30th.
• User feedback
• Registration process and screens are
  user-friendly.
• A high percentage of registrations to date have
  been successful.
• Employees are saying that site navigation for who
  have not yet received their ARL Rollout memo is
  confusing.
• Future Action Items
• Implement New Employee Accelerated Credential
  process.
• Implement Forest Service Registration.

Employee Credentialing Roll Out Update 7/8/2004

• Approximately 800 employees successfully
  registered
• 30 of registration attempts failed and were sent
  to the ARA
• However, employees still can be manually issued
  credential.
• 75 of failures for caused by typos that were
  manually approved by the ARA with no further
  follow up required.
• Improvements were implemented week to reduce
  number of typos.
• In total, 92.5 of employee registrations have
  been successful without additional contact.
• 28,100 Employees have already used the credential
  at least once

New Employee Accelerated Credentialing Process

• Standard Employee Credentialing Process
• Employment Verification process matches data
  entered by the employee against personnel and
  payroll information from the National Finance
  Center (NFC).
• New USDA Employees cannot self-register until
  their information has been entered into the NFC
  payroll and personnel system may take up to four
  weeks.
• New Employee Accelerated Credentialing Process
• New employees should wait for four weeks to get
  credentials.
• eAuthentication will design and implement an
  accelerated process before the end of the fiscal
  year.
• ARL volunteers requested to provide input into
• Requirements error and omissions meeting late

Official Telephone Numbers

• Manual verification process requires
  eAuthentication team to look up employee phone
  numbers.
• If your Agency has an official directory other
  than the ds.usda.gov directory, please send
  information on how to access this to the
  eAuthentication team.
• Each Agency should make sure that it is updating
  new employee information in the directory.
