Make the Power Point Slides
  • It is best not to add too much animation to the
    slides if you want to add sound.
  • Add no more than 1-2 animations to each slide.
  • Wait to add transitions between slides until show
    is complete.

Adding sound to the slide show
  • Make sure you begin in the first slide of your
    presentation.
  • Go to insert on the top task bar. Pull down to
    insert Movies or sound/sound from file.

  • Choose the song from your music file and click
    Insert. Sound must be an AIFF file

Go to SlideShow on the top task bar. Pull down
to Custom Animation.

  • Highlight the song you wish to animate
  • Choose Effect options.

Saving the Project
  • Choose File Save as
  • In the drop down menu Save as a PowerPoint
    Package.

Checking the Project
  • The saved project will look like a file folder.
    When you open the file you will see both your
    presentation and the music file.

Check the Project on Another Machine
  • Save your project to your folder on the student
    server.
  • Move to another computer and make sure the song
    plays with the PowerPoint on another computer.
