• The goal of this project is to develop multiple
  brace designs, each of which is scalable to
  different foot sizes, to help prevent breaks in
  the fifth metatarsal. The devices will fit
  inside the shoe and should resist torsion,
  bending, and compression.

• Key Features
• To achieve our goal, we will produce the
  following intermediate and final deliverables
  force distribution plots, material strength and
  stiffness information, cost analysis, prototype
  designs, and prototype evaluations. We will use
  the F-SCAN insole pressure unit to determine the
  forces placed on the foot during maximum impact
  with and without prototype designs.
