• Efforts needed
• in the training segment

• Strong requirements for intelligent distribution
  of results, needs, feedback

• Identify whole list of topics to be addressed for
  dependability
• Look for gaps
• Look where what is offered as bits of the whole
  picture?
• Include implementors in shaping the field and in
  telling needs / answers
• Include end users

• more involvement of RD community in development
  of industry standards
• e.g. service availability forum has no RD
  participation (www.saforum.org)
• You dont get technology transfer just by telling
  people to do so.
• Take-up activities need to be fostered,
  supervised, observed
• Close interactions needed e.g. process
  enhancements wherever in industry opportunities
  for (more) pilot projects

• Continuous professional development
• in industry and at universities
• Learn also from other peoples and groups
  lessons
• Tasks in industry, academia, government
• Exchange of people

• Significant Case Studies
• Present results in more readable studies in a
  more light-hearted style
• Bring in the economic component
• find good economic arguments to safe money or to
  increase income
• provide (more) secure technology that is a
  business enabler
• Agents for technology transfer?

• Address dependability of services?
• Make the vendors responsible for the
  dependability of their products?
• Use as motivation for more dependability in
  technology development
• Accept backward impact in some liberalisation
  areas?
