• IMS 2005 workshops/tutorial/short courses
  reviewed
• Recommendations were given to IMS2005 committee
• 42 Workshops/tutorials received, 38 accepted by
  IMS2005 committee
• Revised MTT-S FOI Statement and submitted to TAB
  after MTT ADCOM approval
• Thanks to Samir and the FOI committee members
• Several TC chairs wrote article for Microwave
  Magazine
• TCC Admin Rotation
• New Winter Technical meeting coordinator- Dr.
  Victor Lubecke
• New European Liaison- Dr. Reinhard Knoechel
• 5 new members in DML Committee

• 4 DML speakers selected for 2005-2007 term
• Very good participation in Speakers Bureau
• Continue to encourage TC Chair Rotation Every 3
  years
• Continue to evaluate whether there is a need to
  merge or abolish some of the dormant TCs
• One Committee invigorated in 2004
• Strong technologists recruited to the committee
• Planning a student contest on Amplifier Design at
  IMS2005

TC Involvement Beyond IMS/RFIC
TC's interaction with MTT Chapters and other
smaller conferences to cosponsor
workshops/tutorials at Chapter meetings and at
other locations is a worthwhile activity for TC
and it is consistent with TC's mission
TC chairs agreed with this.
Action Item- Develop a procedure to implement and
co-ordinate this Jointly with TCC and Meeting
Symposia committees?

Technical Committees

• Rotation of committee composition as well as the
  chairmen
• MTT is a transnational society - almost 50
  membership non-US
• Members and chairmen should encourage and invite
  individuals particularly from Region 10 (also
  Region 9) to join their committees
• Sponsoring of other (than IMS) conferences is an
  open issue
• Although local conferences are mostly sponsored
  by chapters, consider some topical conferences to
  take place under the umbrella of MTT TCs
