Activities carried out

• 2002 - Identification of Leonardo projects
  relevant on theme 4 
• 62 Leonardo projects (2000-2001-2002) identified
• 2003/2004 - study on theme 4
• questionnaire sent to all theme 4 promoters.
• projects analysed by CNCP and CEDEFOP according
  to the two main clusters  Transparency of formal
  competences    Validation of informal and non
  formal learning .
• 2003/2004 - Organisation of thematic monitoring
  meetings 
• Validation of competences meeting (June 2003

• enabling promoters to situate their projects and
  work processes within a European context
• as well as for TWGs experts to draw elements
  from projects results and experience.

Projects study (CEDEFOP CNCP) main findings

• 2000-2002 projects not essentially different from
  95-98 projects
• BUT, change of profile among promoters (higher
  presence of social partners e.g.) work in
  closer cooperation with training institutions
• More comprehensive range of tools, methodologies
  and targets in quest for transparency and
  validation
• Larger networks involved (enhance of mutual
  knowledge and trust)
• ACC presence in all projects more numerous

• wide range of institutional background

  sector representatives, social partners, players
  in the fields of education and vocational
