2Carlton Towers
Proposal Create a development site for the
building of new social and private housing by
demolishing both towers at an estimated cost of
0.8m. 125 new social housing units have been
estimated within the first five years.
3Lovell Parks
Proposal The three blocks will be sold and
refurbished to create homes for sale. A high
proportion will be affordable (up to 70,000)
within the Councils guidelines. Shared ownership
and equity schemes may be possible. The
disposal would be take place within the first
three years of the contract.
4Oatlands (Towers, Court, Heights)
- Proposal To improve each of the 3 blocks.
Improvement to include - 100 kitchen replacement.
- 100 bathroom replacement.
- 100 heating renewal.
- Building re-cladding to high standard.
- New windows and doors.
- Improvements to communal areas.
- Environmental and Community Safety improvements.
5Carlton Garth, Close and Croft
- Proposal To improve each of the 3 blocks.
Improvement to include - 100 kitchen replacement.
- 100 bathroom replacement.
- 100 heating renewal.
- Building re-cladding to high standard.
- New windows and doors.
- Improvements to communal areas.
- Lift replacement
- Environmental and Community Safety improvements.
6Bells Maisonettes
- Proposal The 40 Carlton Gate Carr maisonettes
will be demolished and the site redeveloped for
new housing (social and private). The 16 Carlton
Gardens maisonettes will be improved.
Improvements will include - 100 kitchen replacement.
- 100 bathroom replacement.
- 100 heating renewal.
- Roof replacement.
- New windows and doors
- Access improvements.
7Estate Housing
- Proposal To improve the housing across the
estate. Community Safety on the estate will be
improved with changes to access. This will
require either the removal of unpopular bed-sit
properties or small scale demolition.
Refurbishment will include - 100 kitchen replacement.
- 100 bathroom replacement.
- 100 heating renewal.
- New windows and doors.
- Roofing and guttering
- Insulation.
8New Build
Proposal To build 125 new social housing units
on the estate within the first 5 years of the
contract. The properties will be a mixture of
flats and family houses. The average build cost
is estimated to be 106k per unit.
9Environmental Works
Proposal To apply for PFI funding to improve
the layout, access, green space and community
safety of the estate. The estimated investment
will be around 14m across the estate within the
first 5 years of the contract.
