  • Southwest Tennessee Rural Planning Organization
    requested review of 42 mile segment of State
    Route 22 from US 64 to I-40 as a significant
    corridor
  • TDOT Long Range Planning conducted Preliminary
    Purpose and Need Statement
  • Identified 5 segments of independent utility
    (SIUs)
  • Identified section in Lexington from SR 20 to
    Hamlett as deficient
  • Recommended development of Transportation
    Planning Report (TPR)
  • Completed Purpose and Needs Statement in May 2007
  • TDOT Short Range Planning Completed TPR for
    signatures on December 18, 2007
