Steps in Active Listening

• Step 1 Focus Look at speaker. Give your
  attention to what is being said.
• Step 2 Ask while person is talking, ask
  yourself questions about what the person is
  saying.
• Step 3 Connect Make sense out of what the
  person is saying by connecting main ideas with
  each other.
• Step 4 Try to Picture It Picture in your mind
  what the speaker is saying.
