    Distance Student (Total of 1800 Students)
  • Adopted an Open Source Policy operating Suse
    Linux both at the Back end and the Front end.

  • Relatively small number of students is easy to
    manage in terms of training / preparation

  • Institutional collaboration e.g EACOSS, MUK, KU
    MUBS, etc

Way forward
  • Strengthening Inter institutional collaboration
  • More need for tracer studies to give feedback to
    the demands of industry
  • Positive Discrimination in remuneration of IT
    staff
  • Strengthening and Supporting Research and
    Publication as an add-on to existing net carry
    home e.g I_at_Mak
