4E-learning approaches
- (1) Content and support which, in essence, is
the traditional model of delivery, whereby
content is static and central to learning and
backed up by conventional or off-screen support. - (2) Wrap around which implies higher levels of
interaction with the content itself and which, in
turn, may become more dynamic. It equates with
the cognitive learning theory the knowing
how. - (3) Integrated which employs a community of
learning approach whereby learning become
collaborative and support is mutual. - (Mason 1998)
5What is a Learning Object?
- Whatever could be used for a learning objective
- Has the characteristics of
- Granularity
- Re-usability
- Self-consistency
- Accessibility
- Portability

11Librarians as change actors
- Enhance e-learning quality
- Metadata
- Content
- Service
- Indicators of libraries impact on learning
- Promotion and exploitation
- Academic actors do not take advantage of the
entire offer - Improve interaction with communities of academics
and students - Challenge of improving library internal workflow
and decision making - Update their knowledge and skills with e-learning
12Thanks for attention!
- Good bye and good luck for your Learning Objects
repository realisation!
