Prepositions-

• Prepositions are usually
• used before nouns to give additional information
  in a sentence
• used to show where something is located or when
  something happened

• above
• across
• below
• beyond
• to
• for
• of
• with
• in
• inside
• out
• outside

Prepositional Phrases

• Phrases (group of words missing either a subject
  or verb) which include prepositions.
• She went inside the house.
• There is one prepositional phrase at the end of
  the sentence.
• At the end, the ship sinks.
• There is one prepositional phrase at the
  beginning of the sentence.
• At the end of the movie, the ship sinks.
• There are two prepositional phrases inside one
  phrase at the beginning of the sentence.
• Like adverb, you can test a prepositional phrase
  by moving it to another part of a sentence.

• At the end of the period, students who were
  impatient packed up their belongings, since they
  were eager to get to lunch.
• When she was washing the dishes, Lizzie suddenly
  had a great idea pop in her head, which is
  something that recurs often.
