• Average length 6 -7 feet
• Colors brown, red, or green
• Tail is often blunt
• Most colorful snake out of the boas
• Average weight 7 16 pounds
• Females are bigger than males
• The heaviest is 30 pounds!
• Wide as a soft ball

Eating Habits

• Heat sensitive pits in the mouth are used for
  hunting at night
• Prefers to hunt at night
• Feeds on birds and small mammals
• Is carnivorous

• Does not migrate or hibernate it stays in its

• Generally not a threat
• Nocturnal
• Mostly gives birth to fewer than 12 babies at a
  time
