- With the use of scanners , electronic forms
- replaced the hard- to- store paper forms.

- All participants in the Census were trained
- using most advanced means.
- The technical data for the census
- methodology and instructions was
- produced on video and CDs to unify
the concepts for all
workers.

- Pre-census Tests
- Three Pre-Census tests were carried out
It aimed at - Perfecting designs of census forms.
- Identifying field problems and ways of tackling
them. - Testing performance rates for each worker and
efficiency of work at each stage - Testing scanners and decentralization in data
processing.

urban - and rural areas from 18/8/2006
to 17/10/2006 - Third stage counting the households and
individuals with all their

- 3- Media campaign included
- Televised campaign through all land satellite
channels. Similar campaign was launched through
- newspapers magazines bill board along
high ways and internal roads through
out the country. - The campaign was implemented by a
specialized firm. - Media messages for each stage of the census were
broadcasted on T.V channels and published in
newspapers and magazines /.
