Why are plants green?

• Chlorophyll pigments in the thylakoid cannot
  absorb green light
• All nongreen colors are absorbed and green is
  reflected

• Requires sunlight
• Traps suns energy and converts to electrons
• Splits water to oxygen and hydrogen
• Makes ADP to ATP
