Whats New

• Major portions of the WinSCADS program has been
  completely rewritten in C to take advantage of
  the newest technologies for faster and immediate
  model generation.
• Backward compatibility maintained.
• Microstation is no longer required to view the
  models.
• Compatible with Microsoft Windows 98, NT, 2000
  and XP

• New graphics is based on the most widely adopted
  graphics standard, Opengl.
• Easy 3D model manipulation, Zoom, zoom window,
  fit, pan, etc.
• Select the members and or column lines to view.
• Show physical or analytical model with the simple
  click from the selection dialog.
• Uniform wind loads, "UWND" limits graphically
  shown rather than just the generated point loads.
  
• QJoints and CQuads are graphically displayed.
• Graphical search and find capability.
• New measure Tool

• Performance issues
• Switch instantly between graphics and text input,
  program output windows. No need to wait for
  Microstation files to be generated and viewed.
• Click on the member graphics to find out
  geometry, size and design information.
• Click on "Source" from the member information
  dialog and go instantly to the input line where
  the data was generated.
• Work in the text mode only, without graphics, to
  bypass graphics generation for frequent updates
  on large files.
• A template is created for new files as a guide

• Colored Coded Text Editor
• Text is alternately viewed in blue and green to
  visually indicate a change in floor level.
• Go from the error window directly to the input
  line simply by clicking the error indicated in
  the Error Window.
• Remarks and text between Skipon/Skipoff are coded
  in grayed text to visually differentiate from
  the main data.
• Search, find and replace capability.
• Multiple Do and Undo capability.
• Context sensitive help F1.

• Line, column, field numbers, floor elevation, and
  input/output units are shown at bottom of window.
  
• Message Command line prompts at bottom of window
  prompts user for appropriate input, depending on
  command .
• Message Command line provides program default
  values for command fields.
