Aims Objectives

• To identify significant educational and life
  events so far in my life
• To gain understanding of how these have
  influenced my personal and educational
  development and career options
• To look forward to managing my future

Case Study

• Sam is a learner with potential aged 16/17.
• When age 13 mum died, from age 14 to 16 Sam went
  a bit off the rails, stopped trying at school
  and was often absent and in trouble.
• At Easter of year 11 (age 15) Sam went away to
  stay with an Uncle who was an artist. Sam was
  invited to have a go at drawing and painting
  and greatly impressed the Uncle. On arriving
  back home Sam was told that he needed GCSE
  passes to progress onto a FE course involving
  Art. Sam applied and worked hard. Sam is now a
  full time student on an art course.

  looking forward to in your foreseeable future.
• Consider any significant other life events that
  you anticipate will be part of this future,
  positive or negative ( leaving home/ the area /
  family issues / health / income etc)
• How may these feed into your positive or negative
  feel good factor/self esteem
• Consider how you will approach these life events,
  and what support you will use
