Mondrian grew up in an artistic family. He
enjoyed painting and went to art school in
Amsterdam.

Mondrain enjoyed the artwork of the cubist
painters such as Picasso and Braque. Soon
Mondrians artwork began to get more abstract.

Mondrian started his own art style called De
Stijl (The Style). His artwork became more
abstract and he limited his palette to primary
colors.

Mondrian moved to New York City where he lived
for the rest of his life.
