LTSN HLST What is it?

• Established in 2000
• Focus on HE (including HE in FE)
• 1 of 24 subject centres that currently make up
  the Learning and Teaching Support Network (LTSN)
• Aims to encourage and broker the sharing of
  good learning and teaching practice across our
  subject areas of UK higher education
• From October 2004, will become part of the new
  Higher Education Academy

LTSN HLST What does it do?

• Events workshops, conferences, meetings etc
• Projects bidding for funds to run our own (eg
  Entrepreneurship) and offer funds for academic
  departments to run small-scale projects
• Resources what this afternoon is all about and
  central to what we do
• Mixture of print and electronic (but almost
  everything available electronically)
• Everything accessible from the website
