• A modifier is a word or phrase that describes
  another word. A modifier should be next to the
  word it is modifying.

• Misplaced modifiers are modifiers that are far
  away from the word they are modifying.
• Bob takes a towel to the gym that is ragged and

• Dangling modifiers are modifiers that are placed
  in a sentence that has NO word to describe!
• Typing all night, the paper was finished in time.
