• Being outdoors at midday increases your exposure
  to
• Ultraviolet rays
• Skin cancer

• Skin cancer is a lethal disease, when found in
  the late stages.
• Surgery may be needed to remove cancerous growth.
  
• Sunscreen only reduces the risk of skin cancer,
  not eliminate it.

• To identify any problems
• Do a through body check! Not just areas exposed
  to the sun.
• Look for unusual moles or growths that have
  irregular color and borders.

• The American Academy of Dermatology recommends a
  self-exam, using a full-length mirror in a
  well-lighted room.
• Remember! See your doctor as soon as possible if
  you spot any suspicious moles or growths.

• Prevention
• Stay out of the sun between 10 a.m. and 4
  p.m.sun rays are most harmful at this time.
• Wear a broad-brimmed hat and use sunscreen for
  your entire body with a minimum sun-protection
  factor (SPF) of 15.
