Step 1

• Sludge is mixed in a treatment tank prior to
  filtration, and pumped to the Micro-Klean filter.

Step 2

• The sludge fills the plates with solids, and the
  filtrate is discharged by air pressure.

Step 3

• When the pump reaches 100 psig, and the discharge
  slows to a drip, the filter goes into blow down
  mode.

Step 4

• After the blow down, an operator breaks the
  plates apart and scrapes the dry solids.

Step 5

• The dry solids are scraped into a bin, and thrown
  away into a garbage dumpster for landfill
  disposal.

Step 6

• Filtrate water discharges into the city sewer.
  This filtrate water is being pulled for lab
  analysis.
