The Germans

• In 1917 Germany said that they would sink all
  ships in British waters. Which led to sinking of
  three U.S. ships. President Wilson was not happy
  and declared war on Germany.

• During World War 1 the U.S. Army was weak and
  they needed volunteers. So they put up posters
  like this to make people join them. You had to be
  through the age 18 through 45 to join.

• The military draft included many new people to
  the army including people of other races which
  included Mexican Americans, African Americans,
  and much more.
