Sentences from the book His first move was to
ask Congress to pass the Emergency Banking Act.
Another move was to enlarge employment and
increase consumption. The farmers problem was
dealt with by raising the price of farm
products. Of course every country wants more
employment and more economic activity! But how
did Roosevelt achieve it?
