- Mission to strengthen the VTET systems of
Southeast Asian countries through relevant
partnerships in the areas of training, research
and information services. - The Centre focuses more on formal and non-formal
education and training under the MoE, especially
related to VTE both secondary and post secondary
levels.

5CONSULTATION
- The Centre offers consultation to the public in
the area of Curriculum, Management, Training of
Trainers, ICT, and Research and Development.
6TRAINING
- SEAMEO VOCTECH has trained 10,894 instructors,
researchers, administrators and teachers. - Types of training programmes regular, in-country
to customized courses (ISO certified), especially
on soft skills, except in ICT. - Common training programmes fall under
Curriculum, management, training of trainers,
ICT, and research and development.
7RESEARCH
- The Centre has completed 17 research projects
since 1997. - The research conducted e-learning, reasons to
enroll in VTS, the use of ICT in VTET, industrial
attachment, image of VTET, Skills Recognition
Arrangement, Trends and Issues in VTET, and
Training Needs Assessment.

- International Computer Driving License (ICDL)
certification only. - Pearson VUE different kinds of professional
certifications (certification only) - Computing Core Certification (IC3)training and
certification.

11CURRENT PROJECTS
- Capacity building to develop a cadre of
professionals in various areas related to VTET
through training programmes. - SEAVERN (Southeast Asian Vocational and Technical
Education Research Network) to enhance education
research among member states and strengthen
cross-nation research collaboration and improve
the research results utilisation particularly in
policy formulation. The SEAVERN will spearhead
research related initiatives from generating,
managing, to sharing and disseminating research
findings. - (Both projects are funded by Netherlands Ministry
of Foreign Affairs)
