revise that I never knew about

the booklets are useful, it will help me to
revise and to look back on and get techniques to
revise

firstly I can learn and learned to plan
structure my work to get marks. Found lots of
devices used in essays poems for e.g. similes
the book is very helpful and I have learnt that I
need to set up a plan at the start of the exam

eyes how to achieve a C in my English GCSE
got a lot of useful tips with revision which is
good for me as Ive never known what things would
suit me to remember things
the key word banks, Mnemonics

by step learning and examples
has everything we need in it, mnenomics,
vocabulary, Glossary, flirts, P.E.E, brain
demonstration
it has different techniques I would never
normally use
I think they are really helpful with my revision
because it shows how to plan out the essay and
techniques to help

8The sessions
mind maps, planning can get marks, topic
sentence, Marks, highlighting to follow an
argument
was that the topics were things that we were
interested in e.g. music (rehab)
everyone got involved

that we were talking in small groups a lot,
things were broken down, we didnt sit and did
stuff
I found new tips for revision, help me know what
I must include when comparing 2 poems, help me to
plan, working in a group

boring, and made useful information sink in
I like doing the group work on imagery everybody
was able to get involved. There werent the same
people answering questions
using the Amy Winehouse song to look at following
an Argument, using a cartoon of Pete Doherty to
describe,

13I was able to learn a lot and different
techniques. This was a nice relaxing place to
learn which encouraged me about my GCSE English
it was saying what questions and answers would
give you a C grade, and explained what
information you need to gain it
Before I came here I was very confused but now I
have a much clearer idea of what I need to do in
the exam. I have really enjoyed the day managed
to learn a lot
they are helpful and have definitely helped me
know how to revise because before I had no idea
at all
