General Rochambeau talked to Washington
about leaving New York and going to Yorktown.

surrender sword. Clinton had been humiliated
by the British before.

surrendered to General Washington at Yorktown!
General Cornwallis did not attend the surrender
ceremony.

The Battle of Yorktown brought an end to the
British attempt to defeat the Americans.
