• Mammals are animals that have hair, are
  warm-blooded, and nourish their young with milk.
• Mammals include people, cats, gorillas,
  elephants, and whales.

Monotremes

• Primitive egg-laying mammals
• Monotremes include Duck- billed platypus and
  Echidna(spiny anteater)

Marsupials

• Their young are born in an extremely immature
  state.
• Most females have pouches.
• Marsupials include kangaroo, koala, and numbat.

Placental Mammals

• Young are born at a relatively advanced stage.
• Before birth, young are nourished through a
  placenta.
• These include people, cats, elephants.
