  • Brandon did come home after school that day and
was telling me about Alvin Law and how he has a
disability and that he had no arms.
  • The crazy part was that he was cracking up
laughing about this and I had no idea what he
found so funny about someone with no arms.
  • I thought he was talking about some cartoon he
was watching on television but he was laughing so
hard he could even tell me the story.
  • Now I can see what he was referring to. He really
was inspired by this guy and so am I.
  • Regards, Nora W

  • It sounds like a great day!  Lauren had lots to
tell us about the speakers she saw.  They
definitely had an impact on her and she said she
would be more empathetic towards persons with
disabilities including students in your school.
I have taught special ed. for many years so I
appreciate this kind of information getting out
    there!
  • Thank you for this opportunity for her. Lesley E

  • Our son, Matthew D, was at Woodman for these
presentations.  I cannot even begin to tell you
what a positive experience it was for him. He
told us lots about each of the presentations he
particularly enjoyed Alvin and Cory. This gave us
a chance to have a very open conversation with
Matthew about people with disabilities. What an
    excellent day! Thank you.
