How it began

• December 2008, Camden Family Information Service
  are asked to pilot Parent Champions by the DCSF
• Camden Family Information Service the selected
  two localities that benefit most from this
  project, which were Kings Cross/Holborn and
  Kilburn
• Childrens Centres in Camden advertised the
  Parent Champion Role in their centres

FIS Involvement

• Camden Family Information Service became involved
  in the Interview process
• There were 20 parents interviewed
• Camden Family Information Service and Pinnacle
  agreed on 5 parents, from a diverse background

Evaluation

• The project overall was a success
• Camden Family Information Service (FIS)
  encountered a few teething problems due to us
  already having an extensive outreach programme
• The Parent Champions directed 327 parents to the
  FIS during the 6 months
