Chickamauga Battlefield

• Location Catoosa/Walker County
• Important event Civil War Battle on Sept. 18,
  1863

  the soldiers who died there

• The forest limited visibility for the soldiers to
  150 feet.
• The battle lasted for 3 days
• It became one of the 1st national military parks
  in 1890

  ultimately be his downfall)

  Cherokee Nation

• The is land is nick named "Millionaire's

• J.P. Morgan and William Rockefeller, built a six
  unit apartment building in 1896 they named Sans
  Souci--the first condominiums!

  include J.P. Morgan, Joseph Pulitzer, Marshall
  Field, John J. Hill, Everett Macy, William
  Rockefeller, Cornelius Vanderbilt, and Richard

• The first coins produced here were 80 half-eagles
  (5 gold)
• the Dahlonega Mint produced just under 1.4
  million gold coins
• Added up, the mint made 6.1 million dollars
  worth of coins
