similar idea!! A Synthesis is a lot like Jell-o

A Synthesis Includes

• Brief Summary of the texts you are discussing
• Brief Compare/Contrast of main ideas in text
• Critical claims about the two texts (bridging
  the gaps between comparison and contrast)
• How can these two texts be used to support one
  idea???

Watch Out!!!!

• Dont Spend your entire paper merely
  summarizing!! Be Concise!!
• Make sure your thesis is supporting a critical
  claim with the two texts, NOT about the texts!!!
• Use only two texts
• Do not use outside
• Sources!!!
