Information about Groundhog Day

• According to the legend, the groundhog comes out
  of his burrow on February 2 after a winter of
  hibernation.
• If he sees his shadow, he hurries back inside for
  six more weeks of winter.
• If the groundhog does not return to his burrow or
  see his shadow, people expect an early spring.

If the groundhog does NOT return to his burrow or
see his shadow,

• A. People expect he waits 3 weeks to go back
  into his burrow.
• B. People expect he does not eat anything for 6
  weeks and is on a strict diet.
• C. People expect he falls asleep next to a birch
  tree for one week.
• D. people expect an early spring.
