Communication
  • The EC is giving a growing importance about
    visibility of its projects
  • Use of the budget line on visibility (3 000 Eur
    or 5 000 Eur)
  • Communication around TW project is the occasion
    to explain to the public real issues
  • Transforming power of accession process. Twinning
    projects as tools in this process.

Acknowledgement of Funding source
  • Give visibility to your project, both at home and
    in the host country
  • Materials produced in the project must carry the
    EU visibility. Any publication in whatever form
    and by whatever medium, including the internet,
    must include the following statement This
    document has been produced with the financial
    assistance of the European Union. The contents of
    this document are the sole responsibility of
    lt Beneficiary's name gt and can under no
    circumstances be regarded as reflecting the
    position of the European Union. 
  • All visibility materials published during the
    implementation must be checked by ECD press and
    information officer and the Croatian Contracting
    Authority

  • Flags, stickers, posters, and other promotional
    materials can be optained from the press and
    information department of the ECD
  • Recommendation to develop a website (hosted by
    the BA) for the project where all materials
    produced, brief description of the activities
    can be accessed

Aims of Visibility Events
  • Benefit from the knowledge of an EU specialist to
    communicate on one part of the Acquis
  • Communicate on the support of the European
    Commission
  • Communicate to a broad public (through media)
  • Develop your own network to collect information
    (invite other ministries, departments, civil
    society, EU representatives)

Organisation of Visibility Events
  • Organisation of two visibility events are
    mandatory for TWs and TWLs
  • Responsibility of the RTA (or MS PL for TWL) and
    of the beneficiary administration
  • We recommend to organise the last SC and the
    closure event the same day or the day just after
  • The occasion to have an EU specialist
  • Costs elligible materials, small cathering,
    interpretors, interpretation equipment if the
    event is not in the BA premises
  • Place in the BA or in the ECD (exeptionnaly in
    another place)

    Administration and ECD press services)
  • Participants (relevant people assures media
    coverage, p.eg ambassadors or ministers)
  • Key messages (accessible language and brief
    messages that could be converted into headlines)
  • Public (identify multipliers, also called opinion
    makers in the country)
  • Call for media (Beneficiary Administration press
    service)
  • The event has to be marketable for the press.
