Food For Thought

• There is a legitimate demand for housing geared
  to older residents
• This should not exclude family housing, but our
  consciousness needs to be aware of these
  demographics
• Many older residents do not want age-restricted
  housing
• But there are design considerations that are
  pertinent
• Those communities attracted to age restricted
  housing should recognize that many of the over
  age 55 residents will probably move from a
  conventional single family home in the same town,
  freeing that home up for younger family.
