• Background
• Jesus said to Peter, Do you love me? And he
  said to him, Lord, you know everything you know
  that I love you. Jesus said to him, Feed my
  sheep. John 2117
• Although a separate ministry, Miracle on 18th
  Street complements the Daily Bread Soup Lunch
  Program in that the Soup Kitchen focuses on
  feeding physical needs, whereas 18th Street
  intends to feed the spirit of all who come.

• Background
• Miracle on 18th Street is not a program we are a
  ministry that involves those whom we serve as
  participants, not merely recipients.
• 18th Street participants actively participate in
  singing and playing music, prayers, reading
  scriptures, giving testimonies, clean-up, and (of
  course) fellowship. We are truly a family!
• This model is designed to help establish and
  maintain a sense of dignity and purpose for many
  who feel that they had lost these traits.

• Multi-Cultural Ecumenical Ministry
• 18th Street invites congregations and praise
  teams from other churches in the San Angelo
  community to participate in gatherings and
  worship activities.
• Creates a demographically diverse environment
• Introduces variety in musical content
• Enhances the excitement of our gatherings
• Reduces the workload on our team leaders
• This model is aimed at building a multi-cultural
  congregation at Wesley UMC.

• Our Direction
• Miracle on 18th Street has the goal of developing
  a nurturing, lay-led congregation that reflects
  the diversity of the community that surrounds
  Wesley UMC.
• Using Acts 2 as our model, we have already
  succeeded in attracting a loyal following
  comprised primarily of persons who are NOT
  members of Wesley United Methodist Church.

• 18th Street is an evolving ministry that attracts
  newcomers with every gathering. We are constantly
  seeking song books, musical instruments and
  equipment to expand our capability to involve as
  many participants in our activities as possible.
• Individuals and organizations willing to donate
  instruments or equipment, as well as music books,
  are welcomed to contact us.
