As we enter the next millennium, what do you see
as the big challenges facing the biomedical
research community?

We need to find the biological mechanisms that
give rise to these observations. Thats going to
take a long time. But I think genetics, the
molecular approach and endocrinology the way
out hormones work are all going to be very
important. I can see that in the next 10 to 20
years this will open up as a totally new area of
research.
