Non-Trusted User Plane Roaming LBS Roaming
Meeting, Denver January 18, 2007
2
Non Trusted User Plane Update
  • Enabling Non-Trusted User Plane roaming is
similar to enabling Control Plane Roaming
  • An Inter-MPC L3 interface needs to be supported
  • V1/V2 fully define this interface / protocol
  • A variant of OMA RLP could be used
  • Both UP and CP will require unique variants of
    RLP
  • With the exception of V1 NI the IS-41 RSP issue
is not relevant so in fact enabling Non-Trusted
UP roaming should be easier than enabling CP
    roaming
  • H-MPC simply needs a SID/NID mapping to the V-MPC
    address
  • It was agreed at the last LBS Roaming Summit
that the V1/V2 interface / protocol would be used

3
InterMPC Solution for Nontrusted Model
  • For V1/V2 nontrusted an inter-MPC L3-type
protocol is defined in 80-V6195-2NP and the LBS
roaming call flows are defined in 80-V8470-2NP
