Possible integrated actions with SC4 under
evaluation

• Quality committee could add the requirements to
  fill in the MDS for any new project
• The multimedia handbook could be maintained,
  after the end of the DEPUIS project, with ENEA
  resources and become the SC4 knowledge management
  system for the end users
• Propose a new European project with STEP centres
  and other organizations both European and extra
  European to increase the knowledge to be shared
  among end users

Qualification/certification of new skills

• The qualification/certification of new skills in
  the field of PDT needs to be further investigated
• At the Korea meeting a draft of skills
  competences developed within DEPUIS project will
  be presented and discussed among STEP centers to
  verify potential enlargement of the initiative
• The qualification of new skills will help SMEs to
  be certified, for example, ISO 8000 or will help
  them to exchange data with their customers
  already using SC4 standards

Letter to DG enterprise

• ISO TC 184 SC4 experts have shown great interest
  to the Multimedia Handbook developed for the
  DEPUIS project (Design of Environmentally
  Friendly Products Using Information Standards)
  fund by DG enterprise.
• The possibility to share the knowledge of our
  experts so that more and more end users take
  advantages of this innovative technology is for
  us of great importance and we look forward to
  have the opportunity, within actual or future
  call, to improve the knowledge transfer. We plan
  to have SC4 experts to provide contents for new
  e-learning course and to record more video
  lessons which will be accessible, free of charge
  to any enterprise. We strongly believe, in fact,
  that the standards are useful only if used
  worldwide and we need to improve the access to
  the knowledge if we want achieve this ambitious
  objective.
• We also appreciate the fact that DEPUIS
  multimedia handbook addresses to eco-design as
  the industries more and more often find difficult
  to respond promptly to the continuous evolution
  of the legislation in the environmental field and
  the integration of the product data technology
  with the environmental data standard is a must
  for the future of our industries if we want to
  preserve our planet.
• We will very much appreciate suggestions which
  will enable us to make a continuous evolution of
  the multimedia handbook by updating the content
  with more that 100 international experts working
  in the ISO TC 184 SC4 committee.

• ISO TC 184 SC4 experts have shown great interest
  to the Multimedia Handbook developed for the
  DEPUIS project (Design of Environmentally
  Friendly Products Using Information Standards)
  fund by DG enterprise and coordinated by ENEA.
• The possibility to share the knowledge of our
  experts so that more and more end users take
  advantages of this innovative technology is for
  us of great importance and we look forward ENEA
  to consider the possibility to maintain the web
  site after the closure of the project. The
  multimedia handbook is a very good way to improve
  the knowledge transfer on the product data
  technology and eco-design addressed to the final
  users of the standards.
• In the future we plan to find more funds to have
  the opportunity, within actual or future call, to
  increase the knowledge to be shared. We plan to
  have SC4 experts to provide contents for new
  e-learning course and record video lessons which
  will be distributed, free of charge to any
  enterprise. We strongly believe that the
  standards are useful only if used worldwide and
  we need to improve the access to the knowledge if

  resources to be addressed to the maintenance and
  the implementation of the multimedia handbook.
