Opportunities offered to our Talented students

• Every talented pupil has been assigned a PE
  department mentor, who can offer encouragement,
  support and advise.
• In 2008-2009 Redruth School PE will be running a
  new core-curriculum programme for KS4, where
  these GT girls and boys join as one group to
  take part in new and different activities. 
• KS4 talented pupils will complete a Community
  Sports Leader Award (CSLA) as an additional
  qualification.

• We will continue offering places on GT event
  days like Cornwall Athletics coaching/Cornwall
  RFU coaching and where possible bring in outside
  coaches to further their development.
• Our Extra-curricular programme will be up and
  running and strong as ever. We offer between
  9-12 sports each term, statically one of the most
  extensive programmes of any school in the
  country.
• Our PE Gifted and Talented KS4 and 5 pupils with
  expertise in a particular area have the
  opportunity to help out with the KS3
  extra-curricular.
