Panda
  • A giant panda holds a stalk of bamboo. The thumbs
    on a pandas paws are actually extensions of its
    wrist bone. A mother panda spends most of the
    time cleaning and nursing her cub. Bold markings
    help pandas locate one another during mating
    season. Sharp claws of pandas help them climb
    trees. Biologists study and breed pandas at the
    Nature Preserve in China. They all live in one
    part of China.

Cats
  • A Cheetah can run up to seventy miles per hour.
    But a Cheetah can only run fast for about one
    and a half football fields. A Cheetah is the
    fastest land animal on Earth. A Tiger is the
    largest feline. An average cats life is about
    fifteen years. A Cat often sleeps with one eye
    partly open. There are forty different kinds of
    cats. They can be different colors. For example
    they can be Black ,White, Gray, Orange, or
    mixtures of colors.

    The deepest anyone had gone inside the earth was
    more than two miles. The temperature in the
    earths core is 8,100 degrees. Distance of the
    earth from the sun is 93 million miles. The

    miles.

    biggest meat eating dinosaurs on earth. The
    T-Rex lived TO 85 MILLION YEARS AGO. It had a

Mouse
  • There are over 1,082 types of mice. It is almost
    about the size of a chicken egg. Mice are
    nocturnal. A male mouse is called a buck. Wild
    mice have lived with humans for more then 10
    thousand years. The approximately 1,100 species
    in this huge group are classified in several
    families. Females produce litters of four to
    eight young after a gestation period of three
    weeks.

Tiger
  • Tigers are the largest and strongest members of
    the cat family. A female tiger is called a
    tigress. A tigress will have as many 3 cubs at a
    time. The cubs will leave their mother when
    they are two to three years old. Running at a
    full speed, a tiger can leap more than 23 feet.
    Like most cat, tigers have retractable claws.
    Tigers use their long canine teeth to stab and
    kill prey.
