Step Two The students use Microsoft PowerPoint
to create a slideshow
1. Insert text boxes or use the outline view
to insert text2. Add graphics, photographs3.
Design backgrounds 4. Format text5. Animate
objects6. Include slide transitions7. SAVE
Helpful Hint PowerPoint files tend to become
very large with graphics and photographs. Think
about your storage space. Do you have access to
the hard drive? Zip Drives and CD burners are
very helpful for transporting files between
computers.

Step Three Record the slideshow to VHS
videotape
Using a scan converter, connect the computer to
the television. Some computers have a video
out port, this makes recording very simple!
Play the show and record it to the videotape. ?

• Step Four Use video editing equipment to add
  narration and music
• Option If you do not have editing equipment,
  narration may also be added directly in
  PowerPoint before recording to VHS.

• Enjoy your show!!!
• Make extra copies of the video for circulation.
  Students enjoy taking the video home to share
  with their families.
• Print out copies of the PowerPoint show, laminate
  and bind for a class book.
